Who would Jesus assassinate?

On Monday's broadcast of the 700 Club, Robertson actually suggested that the United States should send in some special forces people and assassinate Hugo Chavez. His crime? He controls a lot of oil in Venezuela and , "he could hurt us real bad." (He really said it, you can watch it here.)

Shame on you Pat Robertson. Shame. I guess you feel that you have to say things that are more and more inflammatory in order to keep your face on the television and your name in the papers. Are you truly willing to desecrate the pulpit from which you preach by spewing this nonsense? Do you actually intend to associate the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the Monroe Doctrine? Look, you are entitled to your opinion, I don't have to agree with it, but in a nation where I like to have my own opinion, I have to let you have yours. What really sets me off is when you speak as a man of God and incite hate. If ABC Family has any moral character they will drop your show like a hot potato.
