Marines mistaken for skinheads, asked to leave church

And we wonder why churches have a reputation as being hostile to outsiders. Apparently, a few marines, after returning home from active duty service, went to a church looking for a friend of theirs. They went for two weeks in a row and yet nobody took a moment to introduce themselves to these men. Instead, the police were called because people assumed that these visitors were skinheads.

The Bible is far from silent on how we are to treat the stranger or visitor in our midst. So, if you were one of these marines, how long do you think it would take to get you back into a church?
