thinking about music again

I was thinking about music again, and my thoughts turned to a conversation that I had with a 16 year old girl. She told me that she has a particular fondness for praise and worship songs than sound very secular. She gave the example of "In the Secret." If you will take a moment and parouse the lyrics you will find that there are no explicit references to God. There is the one line which reads, "but when the world has seen the light." She said that she likes to listen to songs like these with her unchurched friends and use them as an evangelism tool.

It got me to thining, do our songs of worship need to be explicitly christian?

I'm still working through this one . . . stay tuned
